Pure unadulterated flavored sugar!

Colored sugary goo inside wax bottles that you bit the top off of. What will the liquor industry think of next to get kids to drink?

Our gum for Sunday is another baseball themed gum, in fact, it is little baseball gum. Baseball stitches were printed on the gum along with little baseballisms, like, "strikeout" and "ball three".

Our next gum is a blatant attempt by the tobacco industry to get kids hooked on the idea of chewing tobacco. Big League Chew was shredded bubblegum that worked very much like real chewing tobacco, without the nasty spit cup, but of course, kids can learn how to spit later on.

To start the all gum weekend, we have a fun idea that came out quite a long time ago. I am not sure if its still available, but its worthy of inclusion here. Gold Rocks were little golden colored nuggets of gum that came in a tiny burlap sack.

This one came out in the late 70's, dissapeared for a while then they brought it back and it was much different and not nearly as good. The original was basically a snickers bar as a round patty with the nuts sticking through the chocolate, the newer one had peanut butter instead of the caramel. Top image is the newer version.

Pure unadulterated sugar to dip a pressed sugar stick into. Instant sugar high!

If Mike C can do a retro song, I figured why not do a retro snack. We'll start it off with a classic that is no longer available. The MARATHON BAR!! It looked like lattice and was some serious caramel.
